Private Acting Lessons

Our private acting lessons offer a more personalized approach compared to group classes, allowing for tailored instruction that focuses on your individual strengths, challenges, and goals. In a one-on-one setting, you receive direct feedback and guidance from our experienced instructors, helping you refine specific skills such as character development, scene work, voice, and movement. While group acting classes provide valuable opportunities for collaboration, private lessons give you the chance to dive deeper into your craft, offering a focused environment where you can work at your own pace and tackle material that resonates with you. Whether you’re preparing for an audition or looking to improve your technique, private acting lessons provide the dedicated attention you need to unlock your full potential as an actor.

How qualified are your acting instructors?

Our acting instructors all hold degrees in acting and/or a closely related field. Our instructors are accomplished stage actors, film actors, and directors. Our instructors bring over 50 years of combined professional experience to your classes.

What acting methods do you teach?

We teach various methods - Stanislavski (Method Acting), Meisner, Uta Hagen, Strasberg, and more!

What’s the #1 reason to study acting at Strand?

Our acting instructors are warm and friendly, and get to know each student on a personal level. We keep class sized limited to ensure each student receives individualized attention, even in a group setting. All students participate in a performance at the end of each semester.

What will I learn from acting classes at Strand?

Students will learn basic acting skills for beginners. The emphasis will be on stage direction, elements of story, stage presence, and movement. Students will build confidence and develop the ability to speak and present in large and small groups. The class culminates in a short play performed in person or online for family and friends.

How much are private acting lessons?

$115 per month for weekly, 30 minute lessons and $130 with studio directors. Tuition includes 46 lessons per year.
