How qualified are your musical theatre instructors?
Our musical theatre instructors all hold degrees in acting, musical theatre, music and/or a closely related field. Our instructors are accomplished stage actors, film actors, and music directors

Our musical theatre instructors are warm and friendly, and get to know each student on a personal level. We keep class sized limited to ensure each student receives individualized attention, even in a group setting. All students participate in a performance at the end of each semester

We teach various methods - Stanislavski (Method Acting), Meisner, Uta Hagen, Strasberg, and more!
What will I learn from musical theatre classes at Strand?
Students will be introduced to the techniques used by actors/singers to play musical theater scenes believably, honestly and dynamically. Acting techniques will be taught with emphasis on vocal warm-ups, vocalizes, breathing, ear training, text analysis, movement and speech. Students will be required to prepare songs that will culminate in an online or in person performance for family and friends at the end of the course
