Our Modern Band classes bring musicians together to play popular music, collaborate as a group, and perform live in a fun, supportive environment. Bands focus on teamwork, listening skills, confidence, and real performance experience across modern styles—not just rock. Students perform at concerts and special events throughout the year. Bands run year-round, giving students consistent rehearsal, growth, and performance opportunities at every stage.

When do bands start and when are the shows?
Band classes run year-round, and students may join at any time, space permitting. Performances are scheduled periodically throughout the year, with a minimum of two shows per year. We always provide as much advance notice as possible for upcoming performance opportunities so students and families can plan ahead.
What if there isn’t band availability on the day/time that works for me?
If there isn’t a band day or time that works for you, please let us know what you’re looking for. If there is enough interest, we will do our best to add additional band days/times. We’re also happy to add you to the waitlist for future Modern Band openings and will reach out as soon as a spot becomes available.
Do I need to bring my instrument to class?
It depends! For drums, keyboard, and voice, you do not need to bring anything/ There will be a drum set, keyboard/piano, and microphones provided in the classroom.
For guitar, bass, and ukulele, please bring your instrument to class. Amps and cables are provided. If your instrument is not electric, please try to bring a pickup, if possible.
This applies to all bands ages 8 through adults.
Students in the ages 4–7 band do not need to bring any instruments at all - everything is provided for them.
