Job Description
Strand Studios is currently accepting resumes for all instruments and voice in our Hackettstown, NJ location.
While we are accepting resumes for all positions, we are especially looking for teachers of Piano, Guitar, Voice, Violin, and Drums. Ability to teach multiple instruments is a plus. We have a high standard for hosting the best teachers around. We provide students of all ages an inspiring and well-balanced music education. Our teachers develop students who enjoy performing, composing, recording, or go onto teaching themselves.

You MUST be able to teach in person and online. Training for online lessons will be provided.

Our teachers generally have:
​
- College degrees in music, completed or almost completed and/or ample musical background
- Prior teaching experience or willingness to learn
- An inspiring personality
- Performance experience
​
Requirements:
​
- Must demonstrate an understanding of music concepts and be able to communicate those concepts effectively to students
- Understanding of music theory and technique relevant to instrument(s) seeking to teach
- Ability to interact effectively with children and adults
​
Position Responsibilities:
​
- Teach private lessons
- Create an encouraging, fun, and focused lesson atmosphere

Lessons taught are one-on-one. Your hours with us can be flexible, as long as your availability stays fairly consistent. You'll start with one or two days per week and grow, if your schedule and student demand allows. Lessons are usually during after-school hours or weekends.

Your hours depend on the popularity of your instrument, your listed availability, and how often you are the teacher that students request.
